This is a no-frills instrument in the best sense. I made it to let the wood, the voice, and the experience of playing speak for themselves.

The key of G makes this flute a comfortable size for most hands, and its easy response means you don't have to work hard to get it to speak. The Western Red Cedar gives it a warm, round voice with beautiful clarity and projection.

Western Red Cedar is one of my favorite woods for beginning players because it responds easily with very little breath pressure. But don't mistake simplicity for limitation. This is a genuine musical instrument, built to be played, explored, and enjoyed whether you're just beginning or have been playing for years.

That's one of the things I love about the flute. You don't need to read music or have years of musical experience to begin exploring your own musical voice. Start with a note. Listen to it. Try another. Before long, you're making music.
