Aromatic Cedar Flute — Key of Eb, 432 Hz

A beautifully balanced flute with a full, round voice and clear projection.

Aromatic Cedar is one of my favorite tonewoods for making flutes. It is a relatively soft wood, but toward the harder end of the softwood spectrum. That combination makes for a flute with clear projection, mellow overtones, and a full, round sound.

This flute is made from Aromatic Cedar, with Purple Heart for the mouthpiece, endcap, and accents. The rich color of the Purple Heart and striking grain of the Aromatic Cedar create a beautiful contrast and give this flute a distinctive visual character.

Tuned to Eb at 432 Hz, this is a responsive and expressive instrument that is equally at home in quiet, personal playing or more developed musical work. Its warm, full voice and clear projection give you plenty of room to explore as your playing grows.

The Native American-style flute is wonderfully accessible. You don't need to read music or have years of experience to pick one up and begin making music. But accessibility doesn't mean compromise. A well-made flute can be a serious musical instrument for a beginning player or an experienced musician alike.

Take a breath, play a note, listen, and see where the music takes you.
